OUR STRENGTHS

We offer a variety of dental instruments and solutions for every requirement!

Our comprehensive range extends far beyond the standard dental hand instruments and instruments for dental surgery and dental laboratories. We offer everything from a single source.

INNOVATIONS

For example, our dental electrodes are used specifically in electrosurgical dentistry. They are used to precisely cut and simultaneously coagulate soft tissue in the oral cavity. This technology uses electrical energy to make surgical procedures safer and more efficient.

DESIGN

Our dental instruments combine functional ergonomics with aesthetic design to provide dentists with the best possible support in their daily work. We attach great importance to ensuring that each of our products is both comfortable to hold and meets the highest standards of durability and safety.

SETS

For each of our product categories, we offer carefully compiled sets that are tailored to the specific needs of dentists and practice teams. Our sets are optimally configured to ensure comprehensive and efficient care for different treatment areas. They offer a convenient and economical solution by combining all the necessary instruments in one practical set. It is also possible to put together your own sets.

CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS

Our customers appreciate the flexibility and personal service we offer. Through individual support and short decision-making processes, we develop customized solutions that are precisely tailored to your requirements, thus laying the foundation for a long-term partnership.

Whether individual tip combinations (e.g. for periodontal probes) or customized design solutions such as special handle corrugations and surface patterns - we fulfill your wishes.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Both the products manufactured in-house and the parts purchased from selected suppliers are consistently subject to our strict controls and testing procedures. This ensures the consistently high quality that characterizes every single instrument made by OTTO LEIBINGER.

Our quality management system has been certified by the MDC (Medical Device Certification GmbH) according to EN ISO 13485. This standard ensures that our processes comply with the relevant legal and international requirements of the medical technology industry (MDR and IVDR). There is also a particular focus on risk management, which aims to identify and minimize risks at an early stage. This certification underlines our commitment to the highest quality in the manufacture and distribution of dental instruments and HF electrodes.

Regular quality controls and annual monitoring audits ensure compliance with all prescribed standards. This gives you as a customer and us as a company the assurance that our products and our quality management system always meet the latest requirements.

INSTRUMENT PREPERATION

Most dental instruments are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The requirements for the different types of steel are defined in national and international standards and are specifically tailored to the functional properties and conditions of use. For non-cutting instruments, such as dental forceps or tweezers, good elasticity, toughness and high corrosion resistance are crucial. Cutting instruments, including dental cleaners, scissors and knives, require above all a high degree of hardness and resistance to wear and corrosion.

It is often assumed that stainless steel is an almost indestructible, extremely durable material. Many users are surprised to learn that, despite its high-quality properties, stainless steel can be susceptible to various mechanical, thermal or chemical influences. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is based on the formation of so-called passive layers on the surface, which protect the steel. However, these protective layers can be damaged by external influences, which can lead to damage on the instruments.

It is therefore of the utmost importance to preserve the passive layers of the instruments through professional reprocessing. Detailed information on correct instrument reprocessing in the dental practice can be found in the current brochure “Instrument reprocessing in the dental practice done right”, which is available as a free download at www.a-k-i.org available.

GUARANTEE

Otto Leibinger certified instruments are guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 10 years. This warranty expires if the instruments are not properly maintained or repaired or if they are not used for the intended dental purpose.

Following the recommended cleaning, sterilization and lubrication procedures will help ensure optimal product performance. Cutting instruments that are used frequently should be overhauled every six to nine months. Joints should be lubricated with a medical grade lubricant as needed or after each heat sterilization cycle. The warranty does not cover routine maintenance, sharpening or reprocessing. Cutting instruments that do not function properly with the intended wire sizes will be resharpened free of charge for the first 100 days after delivery.

As part of the Otto Leibinger guarantee, we replace or repair all products with material or manufacturing defects free of charge.

We also offer the sharpening, repair or reworking of instruments as a service. Other services such as a right of return, delivery on approval and our generous complaints policy reflect our high level of commitment to our customers.
